Our Location....
Highland Place is in the heart of West Tennessee. Five blocks north of downtown Jackson on Highland Avenue approximately 3.3 miles south of I-40 Exit 82A. Parking is at the rear of the Inn. As you proceed on Highland Avenue, use either Arlington or West King streets to proceed 1/2 block west to the Highland Place B&B Alley. Enter there and proceed to the parking at our Inn. Located in Jackson's North Highland Historic
District, there are a number of interesting homes within walking distance.
Lambuth University, one of four universities in the Jackson area University sports events and the Oman Arena, home of the NAIA basketball tournament and other sporting and special events, are all nearby.
The City Hall notes officially the spot where Frontiersman David Crockett, after losing an election to the U.S. House of Representatives, bid a-less-than-fond-adieu to his fellow Tennesseans. "You can go to Hell, but I'm going to Texas!" he supposedly said, then headed to his date at the Alamo. Antiquing, shopping, golf, museums, Casey Jones Village and many other attractions are all nearby. Shiloh is but an hour or so south. Click over to "Jackson's Attractions and Convenient Links" on our site to get an idea of what may interest you other than simple relaxing while you are with us.
